Advocating for the Legal Rights of Individuals with Disabilities Across the South

A Fond FareWell

On September 30, 2019, the Southern Disability Law Center will close its doors after 18 years of advocating for individuals with disabilities across several Southern states. It has been a privilege to work on behalf of the many folks who requested our representation and an honor to work with all the public interest lawyers and advocates we have met along the way. As many of you familiar with SDLC know, Jim Comstock-Galagan retired in 2014. Nonetheless, he joins me, Rebecca Tullos, and our Board of Directors in expressing our profound gratitude to SDLC's supporters, funders, and all the friends we made over the past 18 years.

I will continue to work on behalf of Texas Medicaid beneficiaries as part of Disability Rights Texas (DRTX), starting on October 1, 2019. If you have an open case with SDLC as of September 30, 2019, your case will transfer with me to DRTX. You can reach me there starting on October 1, 2019.

Thank You All,

Maureen O'Connell (Mo)
